Super nice Egusi soup and some sort of pounded yam or fufu (not sure). Very nice. Next time I definitely want plantains along with it.

In my 28 years of life, it was the first time ever I was trying African cuisine. And I must say that, after eating here, I am in love with African cuisine now. I absolutely loved the Jollof rice, it was very flavourful and the spice definitely hit the spot. Also, the African traditional drink, made with tiger nuts and dates, tasted very refreshing. On top of that, the person who took my order (Jeff?) is AWESOME. He apparently is also the chef who made my delicious food. I would definitely visit this beautiful restaurant once I am back in Kamloops.

Visiting from Vernon. Stopped by this place it because it looked so vibrant outside. The server Victor was a charming man with exceptional service. The music was great. They have a 15.00 lunch special with large portions to satiate will have to make a stop here whenever we come to Kamloops!

We were on our way from Saskatoon to Vancouver and stopped by Kamloops. Looked for Halal food around and although there were a few, this place stood out as it’s a cuisine I personally wanted to try out. And this place was so worth it. The server was so friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic and recommended us what to try. Went with the Beef Suya Jollof Rice and it was so good, all my friends had other different things and everyone enjoyed everything on the menu. Funny enough, as I write this, we’re going to stop there again for another meal on our way back to Saskatoon! 100% recommend!

The staff at the restaurant were very welcoming when we entered and very friendly. We ordered Egusi with fufu, the Jollof rice, and Rasta pasta. The pasta is spicy and the spice level was ok for all of us. The Jollof rice is also tasty and the chicken thigh was well cooked and flavourful. The Eugsi stew part was very good and the tripe and tendons were great, but I found the meat part a little too tough to chew. I found the Egusi and Fufu pretty authentic if you want to try it. The Egusi was so good I had to order takeout for my partner to bring back to Vancouver. They also gave us a small portion of the Puff Puff to try and it was mediocre for me. Depending on how adventurous you are, I would definitely recommend the Egusi, then the Jollof rice, then the Rasta pasta from the items we ordered.

I had a fantastic experience at this African cuisine restaurant! I tried the beef ribs, fish, jollof rice, and a few of their drinks—and everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The beef ribs were the absolute standout—tender, juicy, and packed with rich, smoky flavor that really stole the show. The fish was fresh and well-seasoned, and the jollof rice had that authentic spicy kick with just the right texture. The drinks were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

My favourite restaurant in Kamloops! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. My favourite menu items are the zobo and plantain. I love the location at TRU as it makes for a convenient lunch spot :)
